Notice of Public Hearing on Tax Rate – October 17, 2024

Harris County Municipal Utility District #172 invites the public to a hearing regarding the proposed tax rate for the 2024 tax year. The meeting details are as follows:

The proposed tax rate for this year is $.59000 per $100 of value, a decrease from last year’s rate of $.61800 per $100 of value.

This represents a decrease of 4.53% in the rate, with the average appraised value of a residence homestead increasing to $426,553 from $397,668.
