Harris County MUD 172 water facilities are back to normal operations.

Water has always been safe to drink, and the District was never on a boil water notice.

Due to limited water supply please conserve water.

The District is running on emergency generator power. Please conserve water until Center Point restores power to the area. Water is SAFE for all uses.

Notice to Customers

Due to our lack of rain and increased water demand on the District’s water plant facilities and WHCRWA’s water plant facilities, Harris County Utility District No. 172 (the “District”) has implemented their Drought Contingency and Water Conservation Plan.

Stage I- Moderate Water Shortage – Voluntary

Moderate Water Shortage – Stage 1 voluntary water restrictions are as follows:

• Water Customers with  Even Numbered Address (and those responsible for watering common areas such as esplanades and sports fields), are requested to only irrigate landscaped and other areas on Even Numbered Calendar days between the hours of 10 am to 6 pm  and midnight to 6 am on the designated watering day. (See example below)
• Water Customers with  Odd Numbered Address  are requested to only irrigate landscaped and other areas on Odd Numbered Calendar days between the hours of 10 am to 6 pm  and midnight to 6 am on the designated watering day. (See example below)
• Water Customers are asked to voluntarily reduce water use and Non-essential Water Uses.
• Outdoor uses are restricted from 6:00 am to 10:am and 6:00 pm to Midnight.

The Board of Directors appreciates your cooperation and perseverance during this Stage 1 – Moderate Water Shortage. We will notify you if the Stage 2 – Severe Water Shortage is required.

• Water on July 1, 3, 5 etc.

Water Supply from the WHCRWA has been restored. Please return to normal water use.
